A Question of Order

(Posted to the Facebook ADF Dedicant’s List)

A Question of Order:
I’ve been going over the ADF Core Order of Ritual in preparation for writing my Grove’s Autumn Equinox Ritual, and find myself wanting to rearrange some parts.  The basic question, is which parts absolutely must be where they are, and what parts can I mess with?
To give you an idea of what I’d like to do, here is the Ritual Structure I use at home.  You’ll notice the COoR is all there (with a couple additions), just not all where the Dedicant Manual says they’re supposed to be.
I would love some advice.
  1. Procession
    1. Purification of the Folk
    2. Pacification of the Outdwellers/Invocation of the Hero
  1. Welcome
    1. Two Powers
    2. Earth Mother
    3. Sky Father
    4. Lady Bride, Patron of the Grove
  1. Declaration of Purpose
    1. Imbas
    2. (Re)Creating the Cosmos/The Three Realms
  1. The Sacred Center
    1. Hallow the Well, Fire and Tree
    2. Gatekeeper Invocation
    3. Opening the Gates
  1. Offerings
    1. Kindred
      1. Ancestors
      2. Nature Spirits
      3. Shining Ones
    1. Being(s) of the Occasion
  1. The Working
    1. Magical or Seasonal
    2. Piacular Offering
  1. The Omen
    1. The Reading
    2. The Waters of Life
    3. The Affirmation
  1. Thanking the Beings
  2. Closing the Gates
    1. Continuity and Grounding
    2. Reverse Two Powers
    3. Recession
